Lippincott Review for NCLEX-PN, 12th Edition

Lippincott Review for NCLEX-PN, 12th Edition

Lippincott Review for NCLEX-PN , 12E is designed to help pre-licensure nursing students in practical and vocational nursing programs prepare to take the licensing examination. The book content is divided into comprehensive yet manageable sections. More than 2,000 questions are organized across five major units. The first four units correspond to specialty areas of nursing practice: (1) The Nursing Care of Adults with Medical-Surgical Disorders; (2) The Nursing Care of the Childbearing Family; (3) The Nursing Care of Children; (4) The Nursing Care of Clients with Mental Health Needs. The four major units are further subdivided into a total of 17 separate review tests, with the bulk of the tests aligned with the medical-surgical nursing unit, which is the most common clinical area where new practical nurses are employed. All questions reflect a specific category and subcategory of client need. A fifth unit consists of a two-part Comprehensive Examination containing a total of 261 items. Taken in total, the Comprehensive Examination provides practice with more than the maximum of 205 questions asked on the NCLEX-PN. Another feature is the sections containing the Correct Answers, Rationales, and Test Taking Strategies, which follow each review test and comprehensive examination. These sections provide the best answer to each test question; the rationale for the correct answer, and reasons why the other answer choices are incorrect; a test taking strategy to guide the selection of the answer to the question; the Cognitive Level of the question; and the Test Plan Category and Subcategory. Additionally, the book contains a detailed review of Frequently Asked Questions, designed to provide information about the NCLEX-PN testing process, how the test is designed, and suggestions on how to prepare for the examination.
The questions align with the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) 2020 PN test plan. Other features include the use of all the types of alternate-format questions found on the licensing examination, detailed rationales for both correct and incorrect answers, and information about the NCLEX-PN. An accompanying electronic site provides book purchasers an opportunity to practice the same questions in an electronic format and gives them access to a 7-day free trial of the PassPoint PN product.

General Information

When you buy this book from the Physio Shop you are in fact dealing directly with one of the world's largest medical publishers, Wolters Kluver Health (WKH). WKH is the parent of companies including Lippincott, Williams and Wilkins and the Anatomical Chart Company.

We also try to deliver to you anywhere in the world. Just register and login to the shop to see the shipping price to your destination. These costs are heavily subsidized by the publishers. Unfortunately we are restricted to non-USA sales.

We work directly with WKH and their distribution channel in the UK, NBN International, to deliver your items. This means there is no middle-man to slow up your delivery. If it is in print/stock and is in their warehouse then they'll get it out to you asap. Your orders are sent directly to the warehouse and are actioned usually within 48hrs during the working week. Sometimes charts and models are on regular re-stocking due to popularity however this is replenished on a weekly basis.

If any one item in your purchase is delayed NBN will typically send you what they have in stock and will send on the remainder as soon as it arrives. This is at no additional shipping costs to you. Sending and arriving are however two different things. We send as soon as we can. The mail man and delivery services mean orders can take anything from 48hrs to 3 weeks to arrive depending where in the world you are.

Even better, we currently maintain a flat fee structure for shipping of products from WKH. Buy as many books as you like the we will still charge you the one shipping fee. Perhaps club together with friends if you are after the same title to save even more on shipping!

All orders are actioned from the UK. The UK and Europe can therefore expect more speedy deliveries than those further afield. Rest assured we'll get it to you as fast as the mailing systems allow.

You are also provided with a direct email and phone link on your order invoice that will link you with the person/s responsible for your delivery should you have any queries after purchase.
