Summary:
Recommended in the Brandon/Hill selected list of print books and journals for the small medical library - April 2003
This text is designed to provide a resource for exercise clinicians working with patients suffering from a wide variety of chronic diseases and disabilities other than cardiovascular and pulmonary disease. It is an extension of two existing ACSM publications ACSM’s Guidelines for Exercise Testing and Prescription and ACSM’s Resource Manual for Exercise Testing and Prescription. The many chronic diseases and disabilities addressed reflect the diverse conditions for which exercise therapy has been shown to provide benefit. The book draws from contributors from across the allied health professions and exercise physiology making it particularly applicable for therapists.
