A must have book to all students and newly qualified professionals, Reviewer: Sean Walton on Apr 14, 2009 The Physiotherapists Pocketbook has become an essential to have with me while on placement and in university. The pocketbook is divided into several sections each with numerous subsections making finding a specific section effortless. The book covers the basic knowledge of all areas within physiotherapy, with many illustrations as well as additional sections making it brilliant for use in practice. Although the pocketbook is concise it directs you to literature if a more detailed explanation is needed. The first edition was ground breaking and this is an improvement on that. The new sections on pathology, medication and special testing increase the depth of its use in practice while still being portable enough to slip in your pocket. I found these sections particularly useful when looking through patients notes prior to treatment. As a student it is frequent that you come across a drug or an aspect of a patient?s past medical history that you don?t fully understand. This is where you reach for the pocketbook and get an answer to your queries in a matter of second. Your clinical education will look upon this positively as you are using your own initiative to find the answers rather than constantly questioning them. I would recommend this pocketbook to any student as it provides essential knowledge at your fingertips and has endless application to physiotherapy practice.

Re-stocking due to popularity however this is replenished on a weekly basis. If any one item in your purchase is delayed Elsevier will typically send you what they have in stock and will send on the remainder as soon as it arrives.
